Aviation Deserves Better Tools
Most FAA exam prep tools were built a decade ago and haven't changed. Memorize answers, hope for the best. We knew pilots deserved something better — tools that teach understanding, not just recall. Aviation is too important for outdated study methods.
AI Changed What's Possible
When AI became powerful enough to explain complex aviation concepts in plain language and link them to the exact FAA handbook section — we knew this was the moment. Not AI for the sake of AI, but AI that genuinely makes a student pilot's life easier.

Every time a student tells us they finally understood a concept that had been confusing them, or that they passed their checkride — that's why we do this. The aviation community is incredible, and being part of someone's journey to becoming a pilot is a privilege.
A Note from the Team
We started AviaSkill because we believed aviation education could be better. Not incrementally better — fundamentally different.
The FAA knowledge test is the gateway to becoming a pilot. It shouldn't be a gatekeeping exercise in memorization. It should be a learning experience that builds genuine understanding of the concepts that keep pilots safe.
Every decision we make comes back to one question: does this help a student pilot understand aviation better? If the answer is yes, we build it. If not, we skip it.
We're a small team that cares deeply about this. We read every piece of feedback. We use our own product. We're students of aviation ourselves.

We didn't just scrape a question bank. We processed 31 complete FAA publications — the PHAK, AIM, Advisory Circulars, and more — into 72,349 searchable content chunks. Every explanation is grounded in the official source material.
402 Handbook Sections Mapped
Every question in our bank is linked to the exact FAA handbook section it tests. 99.4% coverage. No other platform has mapped the question bank to the source material this thoroughly.
AI That Actually Teaches
Our AI doesn't just say "the answer is B." It explains why B is correct, why A, C, and D are wrong, and connects the concept to the FAA handbook. We spent months tuning this to be genuinely educational.
